Simon loves his dance floor music. His first gig as a dj was when he was eight years old and in his younger days spent 20 years dj-ing in the clubs around Croydon. He brings all that experience to SHCR where for six year he has been recreating the sprit of that club culture playing dance hall music from the seventies to the present day hoping it will bring memories for his listeners.

Going live holds no fears for Simon. In the Nineties he appeared singing on a tv show called “Night Fever “hosted by Suggs of Madness

Simon greatly admired the djs of the 80s and 90s and their skills at seamlessly mixing one track into another. Hardly surprising therefore that he would love to have DJ Les “Mixdoctor” Adams guesting on his show to get the chance to watch a maestro at work and pick up a few tips!

Simon is not a regular concert goer but he is looking forward to seeing Snoop Dogg later in the year. Given the chance he would have loved to have seen live Elvis, Whitney Houston, and George Michael.

Simons other great passion is football and is a long suffering fan of Nottingham Forest. But he can often be seen down at Leatherhead FC helping out. This love of football extends to his son who plays for Aldershot Town FC and the England u18 schoolboys. And Simon can often be found in the stadiums supporting him. In fact his love of sport even extends into the world of film where his favourite films are the early Rocky films.

If Simon were in need of some relaxation,  it would be somewhere like Barbados listening to his music with a rum and coke at hand.
