Lee’s Fundraiser for Sight For Surrey
Written by Kayleigh A on July 29, 2024
Lee Roake (host of the Feel Good Show) is about to take on the biggest and hardest challenge of his life so far to help people like himself. As many of you are aware, Lee has an ultra-rare genetic condition called WAGR Syndrome and is one of approximately five hundred people worldwide who have this condition. Lee is registered blind and has been supported by Sight For Surrey since he was three years old. This magnificent charity continues to help Lee live with sight loss and be as independent as possible. Without their help and guidance, Lee wouldn’t be where he is today.
Sight For Surrey is a remarkable charity that supports children and adults who are blind or partially sighted, as well as those who are deaf or hard of hearing in the Surrey area. Every year, Lee tries to give a little back to the charities that have helped and supported him throughout his life. This year, Lee has decided to take on the Big Half in London on September 1st to help raise funds for this fabulous charity.
If you can spare a pound or two to help others like Lee, it would be most appreciated. Please check Lee’s page regularly to see how their training is going for the 13.1-mile race. This will be a massive achievement for Lee (and his dad!). Once again, thank you all for your support.
