Mark spends much time on the road as he drives to the studio from Gatwick and then home in Sussex. This gives him plenty of time to indulge in his passion for music. He has so much music to share on the radio given his parents love of sixties music and then finding his own genres in the 70s and 80s through his friends including spending a small fortune in Tower Records, HMV and Our Price. So as Mark travels up and down the time tunnel expect to hear anything from Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock, Reggae, Ska, Motown, Electronic etc and not forgetting personal favourites like Erasure, OMD, Pink Floyd, Queen ELO and the Stones – pretty much anything but heavy metal! So it is hardly surprising his ideal studio guest would be Richard Branson.
Mark enjoys live concerts having seen ABBA Voyage seven times as well as OMD, Erasure and Michael Bublé and not forgetting the big guns U2. Mark also goes to see many of the sixties bands who are still on the circuit. On one occasion Mark was invited to be the roadie for The Merseybeats but love got in the way. One artist Mark would love to have seen live was Billy Fury having seen a tribute singer backed by his original band.
Mark is a lifelong Coventry City supporter and hooked on Professional Darts and has attended many darts competitions across Europe. Mark admits to being an avid Corrie fan which he blames on his family and he has also had the pleasure back in 2008 of being ejected from The Weakest Link by the fearsome Anne Robinson. His ideal evening in front of the TV would be a true crime show while eating a meat feast pizza.
