Simon’s preference is for film music but also especially Michael Jackson as Simon recalls his uncle listening to him while driving around the countryside in his sports car. So it is hardly surprising that he most regrets never having seen Michael Jackson in concert.

A  guest slot on Simon’s radio show would have to go to Warwick Davies and the first question would be “what was it like being an Ewok and how hot was it wearing the suit?”  In fact Simons claim to fame is he bumped into Warwick Davies who was riding his e-scooter and they just had time to exchange Christmas greetings. Simon’s favourite film is Star Wars Rogue One because in Simon’s view it joins up a lot of dots and links to all the other Star Wars films.

To say Simon is obsessed about the weather would be an understatement. He even has his own YouTube channel and he claims to be 85% right. Simon predicted snow on the North Downs when no-one else did.  So an alternative studio guest would have been Michael Fish to discuss the technological changes in weather forecasting.

Other interests include steam trains, walking and swimming. Simon would do a 6 hour round walking trip just to get a jar of peanut butter and he has been known to swim 110 lengths in one hour.

Simons favourite season of the year is Winter for the Christmas festivities so it is no surprise that his dream holiday destination would be Lapland.
