Max Kelly / Radio Presenter

With a show that mixes pop with tracks to get you up and dancing and all linked by some chat on pop culture and current affairs, the overall effect is one of catching up with a friend.

When it comes to live music, Max prefers festivals with their wide range of artists and experiences compared to individual concerts. He recognises the importance of the earlier giants of the music world and would love to have had the chance of interviewing the likes of Freddie Mercury (as his music tastes go back to the eighties) and Amy Winehouse.

Max has always wanted to get into radio and Surrey Hills Community Radio with its welcoming vibe has proved to be the perfect gateway and Max now hopes to pursue a career in radio. Max enjoys his music but he does not play a musical instrument although in his humble opinion he is a great singer. Max enjoys going to the theatre and highly recommends “The Book Of Mormon.” When it comes to TV favourites without a doubt he could watch on repeats both “Motherland” and “Friday Night Dinner”.

Max’s dream holiday would be a long road trip with his mates around the USA visiting all the major cities and some of the not so major cities.  Definitely New York for its sheer energy, and definitely LA to see how fake it is reputed to be. Max’s mode of  transport would ideally be a plate G wagon but in reality, any car hire company reckless enough to hire a car to a group of young pumped up lads!
