Laura admits to an eclectic taste in music and recalls always having music on in the house or in the car from a very young age. Laura used to be a regular concert goer and the concert to trump all concerts was undoubtedly Oasis at Knebworth – a true life highlight. Two performers she regrets not seeing were Bob Marley and The Stone Roses.
Her own musical ability extends to the flute but she would also love to be able to play the drums.
However although not now possible, Laura’s ideal studio guest would have been Marilyn Monroe not just for her interesting but tragic life but to try and understand events leading to her untimely death.
Laura is quite easily pleased! Laura would quite happily sit at home watching a film like Mary Poppins while dining on a takeaway from the local Thai restaurant. Or failing that just walking her dog or simply working out in the gym. A choice holiday destination would be to go back to Australia. There is just so much to see! Her guilty pleasure is really awful reality TV!
Laura co-hosts The After Party Show with her brother. The show has a very strong focus on neurodiversity regularly including interviews with people involved within the neuro-diverse community. In fact unwittingly the seeds of the show were sown many years ago when Laura did a show as a means of raising awareness around special education needs and neurodiversity. But there is a strong focus on music as well.
