James Fieldus / Radio Presenter

James is an enthusiastic co-presenter and comes with a good deal of banter with fellow presenter and long time good friend Mark O’Reilly.

At home James likes nothing better than a good blast of drum and base followed by some choice classical music. James is equally partial to most rock/pop from the 70s, 80s and 90s and although he had a go, he does regret giving up guitar and piano.

James was introduced to SHCR in October 2021 by another presenter Jon Andrews who has links with the Epsom charity The Sunnybank Trust. Prior to that James was with Radio Woking for 12 months. But James is clearly a veteran performer having worked for many years as a DJ at Mayhem in Woking which is a nightclub run by LinkAble  – a Woking based charity providing support to children and adults with learning disabilities.

When asked, who would be his first choice guest on the show, James said it would have to be the tv and radio presenter Chris Moyles because of his easy going manner. And as for his favourite concert it has to be The Killers at Shepherd Bush.

James’ ideas of a dream holiday would be a cruise to somewhere hot but with plenty of countries to visit. In between stops James would be found in a deckchair with a Harry Potter book in one hand and a Starbucks Latte in the other (his guilty pleasure!). Then back to the cabin to watch repeats of “Only Fools & Horses”
