DJ Azza / Radio Presenter

When asked to describe himself DJ Azza would say “bubbly, energetic and full of positive vibes” which pretty well describes his show. He also sees himself as the remixer wizard who also produced his own and the stations promo jingles. A veteran of SHCR he has been with the station for seven years after answering an ad in Surrey Choices.

DJ Azza’s route into electronic dance music came from listening to Kiss and Capitol and finding he responded to the dance music to such an extent he went to college to learn music production.  He was particularly inspired by the late Swedish DJ, remixer and producer Avicii and would have loved to have him guest on his show just to watch a master at work.

Having learned the art of music production he can now relax at home producing himself playing the drums and keyboards and a little guitar searching for that elusive hit record.

But it is not all electronic dance music. He is a regular concert goer and especially enjoyed the British hip hop duo Pete & Bas but he very much regrets not seeing Bowie and Prince live just to hear them perform their iconic hits.

DJ Azza’s idea of a perfect holiday would be heading towards Japan to explore the wonderful countryside and take the chance of scoring for Anime Studios. And perhaps while shooting through Japan on the Bullet  train he would indulge his favourite hobby of gaming or watching his favourite film Avatar.
