Mitzi Matthews / Radio Presenter

If Mitzi were a firework, she would be a Catherine Wheel fizzing with energy shooting in all directions but with her feet rooted to the ground. That energy lights up her show “Mitzi In The Mix”  featuring a range of musical genres because if she likes it, she plays it moving seamlessly from classical to hip hop and then wherever her mood takes her. Mitzi lives in the moment and as such admits to being prone to what she calls “Mitzi’s mishaps” so expect her to share some of those during the show as well as in a book she has plans to write.

Mitzi’s musical interests came from her parents on car journeys through France;  her grandparents who had a song for every occasion, and her training in performing arts. Her ideal studio guest would be Elvis Presley – one of the most influential singers ever with a song for every mood. An Elvis concert would be THE one she would most liked to have attended.

Mitzi was a regular concert goer having seen Paloma Faith, Oasis, Pink and Justin Bieber to name a few but a truly memorable experience was a concert featuring the music of Tchaikovsky. Hearing a full orchestra was magical. Although coming from a musical family she claims that gene has not passed to her. However with a recognised artist in the family, that talent has come through to Mitzi as she develops a Trash To Treasure website. Mitzi loves upscaling old or discarded furniture.

Mitzi’s dream holiday would a  luxury hotel on a desert island with waiters supplying porn star martinis or sparkling Rose. Her room would have to include a fridge to satisfy her guilty pleasure. She is a secret eater being very partial to Marmite on toast at 4am in the morning. She would then munch on that while watching her favourite film Gone With The Wind.
