Action for Carers

Action for Carers Surrey is a charity that can support all carers in Surrey. They have information and advice available for all types of carers – young carers, adult carers and professionals who work with carers.
There is a dedicated team that supports young people who help care for someone who has an illness, a disability, or is affected by mental ill-health or alcohol/substance misuse. This team can support children from Year 1 upwards who have these added responsibilities in their lives.
As part of their support for these children the team organise activities to allow young carers some down time in a fun and safe environment, which is where we try to play our part!
We have worked with the Action for Carers team to create activity days at the studio which involved recording their voices for radio. You can listen to a recent show below.
