Jessica Juillard / Radio Presenter

Jessica’s taste in music is varied, ranging from nineties hip hop; musical theatre; RnB all the way through to heavy metal but the one person she would love to have as a guest interviewee on her show would be her lifelong idol – Barbara Streisand. Jessica is not new to radio. She worked in community and corporate radio for a while in South Africa and when she moved back to the UK, she was very keen to get back in the community radio groove.

Jessica could often be seen at gigs back in South Africa mostly watching local punk and rock bands. But she certainly enjoyed seeing P!nk at Hyde Park and Ben Howard when he was on tour in London.  But the concerts she would most love to attend would be by Barbara Streisand and Adele. Jessica tried to play guitar but after a year trying gave it up. Being a virtuoso cellist would be a dream.

When it comes to dream holidays the only continent, she has never been to is South America so she would like to travel down through every country. Jessica admits to a guilty pleasure of living to eat so she is going to be spoilt for choice in South America although whether that would extend to the Peruvian delicacy of grilled guinea pig remains to be seen.

Jessica certainly has had a varied career. Having got a degree in drama and theatre she found being a struggling artist was too much and took on a range of different careers. She finally found her calling landing various roles as a  professional cook on private yachts in the US and the Mediterranean.  While off duty you would find her sunbathing on deck watching one of her favourite TV series “Breaking Bad.”
