Elloise Burrow / Radio Presenter

Elloise is the stations very first and only presenter to introduce K-pop to our airwaves. In fact her show positively resonates to the sound and beats of K-pop.

For the uninitiated K-pop is Korean pop music in all its formats. Interestingly Elloise’s route to K-pop came via her father’s interest in music from the sixties to the nineties. From there it was a short hop to Japanese rock music and then her obsession with K-pop.

If she were to have a guest in the studio Elloise says it would have to be the suffragette Emily Davison who fought and literally died in her fight for women’s rights when she threw herself in front of the horses during the 1913 Epsom Derby.

Elloise loves going to concerts and does not really have a favourite but the one group she would LOVE to see would be the South Korean boy band BTS also known as the Bangtan Boys.

Elloise joined the station as a work experience project and so enjoyed her time here she decided the station offered a perfect start to a media career. Rather surprisingly her favourite holiday destination is not South Korea but the Maldives where she could take things slow and easy; down a few cocktails and while away the time listening to a playlist of the best in K-pop. Her hobby is collecting albums of Korean artists so she would no problem putting her playlist together. Elloise would like to reacquaint herself with the piano. She tried it when she was much younger but got bored with it.  One film she never gets bored watching is the gothic fantasy horror animation film Coraline. Perfect for Halloween or any dark winters night.
