Cindy Colgate / Producer

Cindy epitomises the spirit of SHCR being a friend and practical supporter for many years. Although not a presenter herself she provides producer support in the studio for Shay, a visually impaired presenter, thereby enabling him take control of his own show. Cindy does not influence the playlists of those presenters but is a massive fan of Meatloaf and she admits to seeing the musical more times than she can remember and even got to meet the stage actor at the stage door after one of the shows. She admits to having a “thing” about Rod (do you think I’m sexy) Stewart after he wore a leopard skin print outfit. By a lucky coincidence she got to meet the Boomtown Rats before they hit the jackpot when she happened upon them practicing in a pub in Chessington.

Cindy loves live concerts having seen Meatloaf eleven times as well as The Pretenders and ELO. One of her “missed” concerts was Guns n Roses. Being pregnant at the time she was wisely advised not to go.  Cindy’s own musical abilities are limited to playing the keyboard “badly” but she proudly boasts of her ability to play the opening notes of “House Of The Rising Sun” on guitar.

Cindy loves musical or documentary films and her favourite film would be “The Greatest Showman” but her theatrical must do for 2025 is finally to get to see “The Mousetrap”.

Cindy is a keen Arsenal supporter and In her teenage years she was a model appearing for products like Marmite and Ambrosia Rice Pudding as well as being part of the no smoking campaign.

Her favourite meal is a traditional Sunday Roast. But somewhat weirdly she insists that the Yorkshire pudding should be eaten after the meal with butter and jam! But you won’t find her enjoying a Sunday roast at the Running Horse as she will be behind the bar pulling pints.
