Is Chris (aka The Cuddly Cornflake) SHCR’s answer to Tony Blackburn?

Chris’s musical interests are wide and varied from ABBA to ZZ Top (Cheese to Heavy Metal?). Don’t expect to hear heavy metal on his weekday breakfast show but you will hear a traditional show filled with all the trimmings you would expect in a breakfast show.

And Chris would jump at the chance to have Tony Blackburn as a guest on his show. With all those decades of experience going right back to the days of pirate radio, there would be so much to talk about.

Chris is not new to radio although it was 30 years ago when he did a travel show for BBC Radio Lancashire. But Chris is all over new media. Note only has he combined his love for Leicester FC by setting up and running his own YouTube channel “Leicester til I Die” which informs on all things Leicester City FC, but Chris can also be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch and Pinterest.

In his younger days Chris was a regular concert goer with a CV that included Lionel Ritchie, Meatloaf and Madonna but his standout concert by a mile would have been Michael Jackson. He has one regret which is never having seen Abba. But he compensated for that by going to see “Voyage.”

Chris’s ideal holiday would be a return visit to Australia where he would continue doing the touristy attractions including another skydive. If he has any spare time after attending to all his social media demands Chris can be found watching “Line Of Duty” for the umpteenth time still looking for those early clues to identify “H.”
