Getting in on the Country scene with Dene Michael

Dene Michael is back in the studio and with the help of The Lockdown Cowboys they have introduced to the world their cover of Blanco Brown’s The Git Up.
Dene Michael became famous in 1986 when he joined the chart toppers Black Lace. After 6 years, he left the band to concentrate on a solo career and later formed his show band named ‘The Dene Michael Show’. He has spent 15 years living and working in Benidorm, Las Vegas and performing around the world.
He chats to us about his musical influences, playing cameos in the film Rita, Sue and Bob Too and Womble, and playing at Ant and Dec’s joint 40th birthday party! To top off Dene’s acting CV he appeared in the Walker’ Crisp Ad with Gary Lineker. The cover track can be heard on the show too.
