Surrey Hills Community Radio tries to not turn down any request for work experience at our studios in Leatherhead. How else can you get the experience employers are after if no one gives you a chance?!
We believe the opportunity to spend time in the studio, learning what is involved in preparing, planning and producing a show can be a great way for young people to build confidence and see what other opportunities are available after school.Â

From bespoke one day placements to a full five-day week, we can accommodate most requests and can adapt our programme to support your goals and push you further than you thought you could go.
5-Day Work Experience Week Programme
Monday – The Plan: Planning a radio show and building a playlist
Tuesday – Adverts: Write, record and edit audio adverts
Wednesday – Journalist for the day: writing and presenting the news on live radio
Thursday – Advertising: How to promote a show on and off radio
Friday – Live radio: Take to the airwaves for an hour
